Drug Dealer Jailed After Nearly £10,000 Worth of Cannabis Found in Car

David Taylor, 29, from Blackberry Lane, Sutton Coldfield, has been slammed with a 22-month jail sentence. He admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.
Huge Haul Found in VW Polo
On December 12, officers stopped Taylor’s grey VW Polo on the A38 at Bassetts Pole, Tamworth. A search of the car’s boot revealed a large vacuum-sealed bag stuffed with cannabis. Alongside it, cops found two mobile phones and a small chocolate tin also packed with weed.
The total drug weight hit 990 grams, with a street value estimated between £6,480 and £9,990 – a serious stash.
Cash Found in Linked Property
Police didn’t stop at the car. A search of a residential address in Aldridge, West Midlands, uncovered a haul of cash, believed linked to the drug dealing operation.
Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury said: “Police acted proactively in order to apprehend this particular offender, who was in possession of a large quantity of cannabis intended for criminal gain. We continue to consolidate resources into the supply of drugs within our communities and remain committed to apprehending offenders who seek to profit from this illegal activity.”
Taylor’s conviction is a clear win in the fight against drug crime in the Midlands.
