Man Strikes Fear in Marden Home In Broad Daylight
Kent Police sprang into action after a brazen break-in at a Marden property on Saturday, 29 August 2020. At 12.17pm, cops were called following reports of a man forcing his way inside a residence between Linton Hill and Staplehurst Road.
Thief Threatens Woman, Steals Cash and Jewellery
The suspect allegedly threatened a woman before ransacking the home. He made off with cash, watches, and various jewellery items. Police swarmed the scene, deploying a helicopter in a fruitless hunt for the crook.
Suspect Spotted Cycling Around Area
- White male, slim build, about 5ft 8ins
- Brown eyes, Northern English accent
- Wearing dark clothes
- Likely used a bicycle to arrive and escape
Police Appeal For Dashcam and CCTV Footage
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is leading the investigation. Detectives are urging drivers who passed the area between 9.30am and 12.30pm to check dashcam footage that might help crack the case.
Locals are also asked to review any home security or doorbell cameras for suspicious activity.
