Officers investigating a serious assault in Canterbury have charged two men with possession of a bladed article.
Shortly before 10pm on Saturday 9 April 2022, a man was reportedly assaulted by a group of men in Canterbury Lane.
The victim sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital, from where he was later discharged.
As part of the investigation, officers later stopped two men who were travelling on a train through Ashford and a knife was seized.
Enquiries into the assault in Canterbury Lane are ongoing and officers are continuing to appeal to any witnesses who saw the incident, or anyone with information, to come forward.

Troy Reid, 19, of Bellenden Road, Peckham, south London, has been charged with possession of a bladed article, possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Ramone Thompson, 22, of Peckham Rye, Peckham, south London, has also been charged with possession of a bladed article.
Both men appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April 2022 and were remanded in custody. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 9 May.
