Police appeal for Witnesses after woman killed in fatal collision in Woking

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision involving two cars and a pedestrian in Woking that happened on Friday evening, 9 December. The collision happened at around 8.45pm on Monument Road off the junction of Arnold Road. A blue Peugeot and a BMW were involved in a collision at the junction causing the Peugeot to mount the pavement and collide with a pedestrian passing by. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. The road was closed for a number of hours while police carry out an investigation of the scene. Both drivers involved in the collision are currently assisting police with enquiries. Surrey Police is urging anybody who witnessed the collision or events leading up to the collision to call 101 quoting, P16281687.
