Children Rescued After Ride Malfunction at Palace Pier

A flume ride at the end of Palace Pier malfunctioned this afternoon, causing one of the flume logs to become stuck. The incident occurred around 3 PM, prompting immediate action from the pier staff.

Witnesses told Sussex News that the staff quickly responded to the situation. Two children who were trapped in the flume log were rescued by staff members. The children were safely brought down the emergency service stairs to safety, avoiding any injuries.

One witness described the scene: “It was quite alarming to see the log stuck and the children stranded, but the staff handled it very professionally. They got the kids out quickly and made sure they were safe.”

The exact cause of the malfunction is currently under investigation.

The Palace Pier has been contacted for comment, but no official statement has been released at this time.
