Brave Cops Stop Sword-Wielding Killer in Hainault Horror
Last year’s terrifying attack in Hainault, East London, could have been far deadlier if it weren’t for the fearless frontline police officers. Their heroism has earned them the Pride of Britain’s Outstanding Bravery Award.
Samurai Sword Rampage Shattered by Quick-Thinking Police
Marcus Arduini Monzo launched a savage attack, murdering 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin with a deadly 60cm samurai-style sword. After crashing into a house and striking a pedestrian, he even turned on ambulance staff before unarmed police arrived to stop him.
PC Yasmin Mechem-Whitfield and PC Cameron King were first on the scene. Yasmin bore the brunt, suffering catastrophic injuries to her arm and hand in a brutal slash from the killer’s sword.
Officers Face Killer Armed Only With Batons
PC King stood bravely between the attacker and his injured colleague, despite having no Taser. Monzo tried to flee but was quickly cornered by other officers.
Inspector Moloy Campbell arrived running straight from his briefing—without a Taser or pepper spray that failed to stop the attacker. Armed only with his baton, he fought the ruthless killer. Monzo slashed through his body camera and nearly ripped off his thumb.
Life-Saving Bravery Recognised
Thanks to these officers’ guts and quick action, Monzo was finally subdued before more innocent lives were lost. Their bravery under extreme danger reminds us all how lucky we are to have these heroes protecting our streets.
We owe a huge debt to these men and women risking everything to keep us safe.
