Police have closed a road this evening following an incident. Otterbourne Road in the village Shawford on the outskirts of Winchester has been closed this evening in both direction following a serious collision. Emergency services are currently at the scene and dealing with the incident and have asked drivers to avoid the area whilst they deal with the incident. Fire crews from Eastleigh and Winchester are supporting South Central Ambulance and the police by making the scene safe no persons trapped. Emergency services were called to the incident just before 6pm this evening. The road closure is affecting drivers leaving the M3 at Junction 9 and Junction 11 who use the road as a cut through to surrounding villages. Drivers are reporting delays are back to the A3090 Hockley Link in Winchester. More to follow shortly.
