Emergency services have been called to the two vehicle crash on the busy city bridge just after 8.00am this morning. Fire crews from Hampshire Fire and Rescue service stationed at St Mary’s are using specialist cutting equipment to free one of the trapped who is pinned into their vehicle. Police and Paramedics are also at the scene
The bridge has been closed to traffic and local diversion routes have been put in place whilst the driver is cut free from the vehicle. There are reports of Major delays in and around the area. Police at the scene have advised that the bridge will be closed for sometime to aid investigation and recovery of a Skoda and a Ford Transit van. Officers are advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
A further crash also being dealt with by Police isn’t helping near to the Hamble Community Sports College on Hamble Lane The road is also blocked after a two vehicles collided. An ambulance is also at the scene.
