Scandal at Stoke-on-Trent Charity

A man and woman have been convicted of accessing computer material without permission, sparking outrage over a breach of trust involving vulnerable victims.

Shane Davis, 36, currently incarcerated at HMP Dovegate, and Lauren Leese, 30, from Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, pleaded guilty at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 9 March. Davis received a 12-month sentence to run concurrently with his existing term. Leese was handed a 12-month suspended sentence, suspended for 18 months.

Betrayal of Trust by Charity Worker

Leese worked as an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) for the now-defunct Savana charity. Despite holding a position of responsibility, she broke the law by accessing and sharing sensitive information about a child victim of serious sexual offences over a six-month period in 2024.
