A Bradford man has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for the sexual assault of a teenage girl at a Liverpool city centre hotel.
Andrew Peel, 48, of Pochard Close, faced justice today at Liverpool Crown Court after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at The Premier Inn on Gower Street in 2022.

Despite Peel’s denial of the crime, evidence presented during a six-day trial in May led to his conviction.
Detective Constable Claire McDonald expressed relief at the sentence: “Peel’s heinous act not only violated an innocent teenager but also inflicted further anguish by denying his actions, forcing the victim to endure a trial. Her courage throughout this ordeal has been remarkable, and we hope this sentence offers her some measure of solace.”
Authorities encourage anyone affected by sexual offences to report their experiences, assuring that dedicated teams are ready to provide expert and empathetic support while pursuing justice.
