A major road closure is causing significant congestion in Thornton Heath this morning following a serious collision.
Whitehorse Road (A212) is currently shut in both directions at Devonshire Road, with accident investigation work underway since around 6am.
The closure has resulted in long queues, with traffic backing up to the Northcote Road / Windmill Road crossroads and extending into Croydon.

Motorists are facing severe delays, and multiple bus routes are being diverted as a result of the closure. Affected services include:
- Bus routes 50, 75, 157, 450, and 468
