Derbyshire police have launched an appeal for information from the public following a series of burglaries in the county. The incidents, which have primarily taken place in Quarndon and Belper, as well as other areas in Derby, Amber Valley, and the Derbyshire Dales, have resulted in the theft of valuable jewellery and designer items worth thousands of pounds.

The targeted properties were broken into during the late afternoon and evening hours, with the criminals gaining entry by either smashing windows or forcing doors at the back of the houses. The locations affected include Church Road in Quarndon on November 10 between 17.30 and 20.00 two houses on Woodlands Road in Quarndon on November 9 between 16.45 and 19.20, Burley Lane in Quarndon on November 25 at 18.40 Summer Lane in wirksworth/">Wirksworth on November 26 between 15.20 and 18.50 Sandybrook Close in Ashbourne between November 24 and 26 The Nook in Holbrook on November 9 between 17.00 and 23.00 Ryknield Road in Belper between October 28 and November 8 and West Bank Road in Allestree between November 1 and 3.
