  • At the A1232 (Ipswich Road) roundabout, take the first exit
  • Continue northbound on the A1232 and rejoin the A12 at J29

Southbound Diversion:

  • Exit the A12 at J29
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A1232
  • Follow to the roundabout with St Andrew’s Avenue and Cowdray Avenue, then take the third exit onto the A133
  • Continue on the A133 through Colchester to Spring Lane Roundabout
  • Take the second exit and rejoin the A12 southbound at J27

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, re-route where possible, or consider delaying their journey until the incident is resolved.
