Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Collision in Morden

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Morden earlier this month.
Specialist officers from the Metropolitan Police are supporting Mr. Karunakaran’s family during this difficult time. Detective Constable Caroline Landy of the Roads & Transport Unit, who is leading the investigation, expressed condolences, stating:
Our thoughts remain with Sinnathamby’s family at this tragic time.

Appeal for Information

DC Landy has urged anyone who was in the area of Green Lane between 6:35 pm and 6:50 pm to come forward, particularly if they were commuting home or passing through the area. She emphasized the importance of any potential dashcam or doorbell camera footage that might have captured the incident.

“We believe that there may be witnesses who have yet to come forward. No matter how small, anyone with any information is urged to contact us immediately,” DC Landy added.

How to Help

Anyone with information or footage of the collision is urged to contact police on 101 or via social media at @MetCC, quoting reference CAD 6080/3MAR25. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.

Ongoing Investigation

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time, and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

Police are appealing to the public to assist in piecing together the events that led to this tragic incident. Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could prove vital to the investigation.
