Blaze Breaks Out at Forest Hill Shop

15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters have rushed to tackle a fierce fire at a ground floor shop on Perry Vale, Forest Hill.

Smoke Warning for Locals

Residents nearby have been urged to keep windows and doors firmly shut as smoke spreads through the area. A strict 25-metre cordon blocks off the scene, with the public warned to steer clear for their own safety.

Firefighters Battle From Above

The Brigade sprang into action after 49 calls starting at 6:27pm. Firefighters came from across the region, including Forest Hill, Lewisham, Beckenham, and West Norwood. A massive 32-metre turntable ladder is on site, blasting water from above to douse the flames.

The cause of the fire remains a mystery as investigations get underway.
