Three boys have been arrested after a transgender woman was stabbed in what police believe to be a hate crime. The incident occurred on Norton Road in Stockton on Tuesday, shortly before 6pm.

Cleveland Police reported that armed response units were dispatched following “reports of an assault by a group of teenagers with a bladed weapon.” The boys, aged 12, 14, and 16, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Cleveland Police is appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage to come forward. The force is committed to investigating this incident thoroughly and bringing those responsible to justice.
