In a heartrending response to a brutal chemical attack in Clapham, South London, friends and community members have launched a GoFundMe page to support a mother and her two young daughters as they face a long road to recovery. The 31-year-old mother, who is currently sedated in hospital and may lose sight in her right eye, along with her daughters, aged eight and three, were victims of a horrifying assault on January 31, leaving the local community in shock.

The attack, witnessed by neighbours, saw the young family doused with a corrosive substance, with one of the children thrown to the ground in her school uniform. The manhunt for the suspect, Abdul Ezedi, has entered its second week, with police suggesting the motive behind the attack could be linked to the breakdown of a relationship.
