According to eyewitnesses, the man was initially spotted slumped over in the bin area of the block as early as 6.50am. However, it wasn’t until around seven hours later that emergency services were alerted, after residents noticed the man had not moved for an extended period.

Disturbingly, residents reported seeing flies crawling on the man’s body, indicating that he may have been deceased for some time before being discovered.

The delayed response to the situation has raised concerns about the extent of drug addiction and its impact on the community. Residents have become accustomed to encountering unconscious drug users in the area, often failing to recognize the severity of the situation until it is too late.

Paramedics were eventually called to the scene after residents shared images and concerns in a WhatsApp group. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
