Shocking Death on Dagenham Roads

A 23-year-old man has been slammed with an eight-year prison sentence after causing the death of his passenger last year through dangerous and drink-driving. Sharuyan Sasikumar, from Dagenham in Essex, pleaded guilty to killing by dangerous driving and exceeding the legal alcohol limit behind the wheel.

Heavy Sentences and Long Driving Ban

Sasikumar was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday, 26 November. Along with jail time, he faces a driving ban lasting 11 years and four months. On release, he must pass an extended retest before getting his licence back.
