Fatal Bus Blaze Shakes Quiet Swiss Town
A sudden inferno ripped through a passenger bus in Kerzers, Switzerland, turning a peaceful evening into a scene of horror. The fire erupted at around 6:25pm on Tuesday, engulfing the vehicle in fierce flames and thick black smoke.
Several Dead and Injured in Shocking Fire
Police confirmed multiple fatalities and numerous injuries as emergency crews scrambled to the scene in the Fribourg canton. The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
“Several people were injured and several people died. Emergency services are currently responding. The causes are not yet known,” said Fribourg cantonal police.
Firefighters Arrive to Burnt-Out Wreck
Arriving firefighters found the bus reduced to a smouldering shell with smoke still pouring out. Authorities quickly sealed off the area and warned residents to steer clear while paramedics tended to victims and investigators worked to uncover what sparked the deadly fire.
