Tragic Crash Claims Young Life in Rushden
The parents of Cameron Arneaud, 20, have paid a heartbreaking tribute after their son died in a road collision on December 22, 2023. Cameron had recently moved from Bedfordshire to Rushden and was fatally injured on Irthlingborough Road, Finedon, at the junction with Oxford Street.
Fatal Crash on Motorbike
The fatal accident happened as Cameron ridden home on his motorbike from 1, when he collided with a Toyota Prius. The Toyota’s 27-year-old driver was arrested but has since been released on bail while the police continue their investigations.
Heartfelt Tribute from Grieving Parents
Cameron’s parents, Alison and Dan, described their son as a warm-hearted, polite, and affectionate young man who was loved by everyone who knew him. They hailed his academic success, passion for football—being a dedicated Arsenal fan—and his love for gaming.
“He just loved life,” said the family.
The 20-year-old had recently started a job with the National Accident Helpline and was known for staying out of trouble and always putting family first.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Northamptonshire Police are investigating the fatal collision and have appealed for witnesses. They especially want to hear from anyone travelling on a Stagecoach bus that arrived shortly after the crash.
