A swift police response has led to the arrest of a man caught red-handed breaking into cars in Chatham.
Patrol Officer Acts Fast on Crime Call
At around 9pm on Tuesday 8 March 2022, an alert officer on patrol sprang into action after reports of a car break-in on Albany Terrace. The officer arrived moments later to find a man reaching through a smashed car window.
Suspect Arrested on the Spot
The officer quickly detained the man, thought to be in his 20s and from Rochester. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and attempted theft of a vehicle and is now in custody.
