Rita Simons’ EastEnders Exit Still Haunts Fans
Lord Alan Sugar, yes, that Lord Sugar, has weighed in on EastEnders — and he’s got a wild idea for Rita Simons’ return to the BBC soap.
Rita, 48, famously played Roxy Mitchell, who tragically drowned alongside sister Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) in the New Year’s Day 2017 episode. The heartbreaking scene saw Ronnie try to save a drunken Roxy in a hotel pool, only for both sisters to perish under the water.
“I don’t care what you come back as,” he added. “But the point is, you’ve got to come back as a relative.”
Will BBC Bite on Lord Sugar’s “Poxy” Pitch?
Rita was left wondering if the idea could actually fly, to which Lord Sugar confidently replied: “They should do.”
