The first image has emerged of the 16-year-old boy who was shot dead in Clapham earlier today it is understood that he is a member of the L1 stockwell.

The Metropolitan Police has launched a murder investigation following the fatal shooting, which occurred in Stockwell.

Incident Details

Police were called at around 2:30 PM on Tuesday, 4 March, to reports of a shooting on Paradise Road, SW4.

Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation and Police Response

Officers are working urgently to identify the victim and notify his next of kin.

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron, leading the local policing response, said:

“This is an enormously shocking incident which I imagine will cause huge distress to the local community.

“Our thoughts are with the young boy’s family at this devastating time.

“Local officers are on the scene gathering CCTV and speaking to witnesses to piece together what has happened. They will be supported by specialist homicide investigators shortly.

“Please rest assured we will work around the clock to identify and find those responsible.”

At this stage, no arrests have been made. A crime scene remains in place, with officers conducting forensic investigations and speaking to witnesses.
