Gardaí in Swords have seized a substantial quantity of drugs and cash following the execution of a search warrant at a property in Donabate earlier today.
During the operation, officers discovered approximately €22,000 worth of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine, €12,500 in cash, and a Rolex watch suspected to have been purchased with the proceeds of crime.
The warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area. Gardaí had long suspected that the address was being used for illegal activities.
A person in their 20s was arrested at the scene and has since been charged. They are due to appear before Balbriggan District Court tomorrow morning.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said:
“This seizure forms part of our continued commitment to disrupt drug dealing and related criminal activity in the Swords and Donabate areas.”
Investigations are ongoing, and Gardaí have indicated that further arrests and searches may follow.
The raid underscores the increasing efforts by Gardaí to crack down on drug distribution networks operating in suburban parts of North County Dublin.
Anyone with information related to drug activity is encouraged to contact Gardaí or the confidential Garda Confidential Line.
