Gosport Fire crews and Costguard team called houseboat fire

The Hillhead Coastguard Team tasked to assist Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service with a house boat fire in Gosport this evening Monday 24th July 2017. With all persons accounted for and no evidence of pollution, all units were stood down. Fire crews extinguished the flames from the property. Two fire crews from Gosport were called the boat blaze. A man and two dogs were off the boat on arrival. Breathing apparatus and a hose reel were used. The man, aged 50, was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by HFRS and later checked by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). The incident happened at The Maritime Workshop, Ferrol Road Gosport
