In a heartbreaking incident, a family in Bury has been left devastated after burglars not only stole power tools from their garage but also made off with the ashes of their late husband and father. Greater Manchester Police were called to the scene on Brandlesholme Road on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, and have since launched an investigation.
The family, who have chosen to remain anonymous, released a heartfelt statement to the public recounting their loss and pleading for the return of the stolen ashes. The husband, Nigel, had tragically passed away earlier this year after battling pancreatic cancer, leaving the family shattered.
