An investigation is underway following a distressing incident where a man in his 50s suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a dog outside an address on Maple Terrace in Shiney Row. The incident was reported shortly before 18.55 yesterday prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

Upon arrival, responders swiftly transported the injured man to the hospital for urgent medical attention. The severity of the injuries underscores the gravity of the situation. In connection with the incident, a 44-year-old man has been taken into custody by the police and is currently under investigation.
