Police are urgently searching for a suspect following a stabbing incident on Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham, on Saturday evening.

At approximately 9.35pm on Saturday, 5 April, officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service after receiving reports of an altercation.
A man in his 20s was discovered with stab injuries and received medical treatment at the scene before being transported to a hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were later assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening.

The knifeman fled the area before emergency services arrived, and police are actively conducting enquiries to track him down. Local residents are being urged to remain vigilant while the investigation continues.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. Those with relevant information should contact the police on 101, quoting reference 7317/05APR.

Community members have expressed concern about safety in the area, and authorities have promised an increased presence in the vicinity while the investigation is ongoing.
