Murder Investigation Launched in Newham as Police Seal Off Walton Road Crime Scene
A murder investigation has been launched in Newham after a serious incident on Walton Road, with a large police presence and blue forensics tent in place since around 10am this morning.

Metropolitan Police officers, forensics teams, and multiple patrol vehicles have been seen at the scene in E12, where the road remains cordoned off to the public.
It comes just days after a separate fatal stabbing in nearby Ilford, where five people were arrested in connection with the death of a 30-year-old man.
Area Impacted
Walton Road (E12), located in the Manor Park area of Newham, remains partially closed to vehicles and pedestrians. Local residents have been advised to avoid the area while investigations are ongoing.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 4.46am today (23 July) to reports of an incident on Walton Road, Manor Park.
“We sent a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“Very sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Police were called to reports of a body on Walton Road, Ilford at 04:41hrs on Wednesday, 23 July.
A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. Sadly a man in his 50s was found dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexpected and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances.
A crime scene has been established on Walton Road extending up to nearby roads.
