A significant lorry fire on the M25 slip road off the A2 near Darenth prompted an urgent response from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service on Thursday, 8 February 2024. Four fire engines, along with a bulk water carrier, were dispatched to the scene on the London-bound slip road for the M25 at Darenth. Firefighting crews employed the use of compressed air foam systems (CAFs) and high-pressure hose reel jets in their efforts to bring the fire under control.
