Motorists on the M20 faced significant delays today following a collision between a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a car, resulting in a large diesel spill and extensive damage to the carriageway. The incident, which occurred around 1:25 AM on Wednesday, led to traffic being halted for over three hours between junctions 10 and 11.

According to reports, over 200 litres of diesel spilt onto the road surface, necessitating a comprehensive cleanup and repair operation. Drivers found themselves stuck in the traffic for hours, with the road not being cleared for passage until just after 5 AM.
