A man has tragically died following a medical emergency on Sydenham Road, prompting a major response from emergency services and the closure of part of the busy street this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near Sunnydene Street shortly after 1:30 PM on Friday, 11 April. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers responded to reports of a medical incident, with ambulance teams also in attendance.
Footage from the scene shows Sydenham Road partially cordoned off, with multiple ambulance crews and emergency vehicles present. Bystanders reported seeing paramedics administering CPR, although full details on the nature of the incident have yet to be released.
