John Sturgeon, a 41-year-old man, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of a series of sexual abuse offences in the Ayrshire area. The crimes, which included rape and domestic abuse, were committed over three years against two women.
Sturgeon’s conviction followed a trial at the High Court in Glasgow, where he was found guilty on ten charges. Detective Constable John Shaw of the Ayrshire Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit described Sturgeon as an “abusive individual” who displayed no remorse for his violent and abusive behaviour towards the victims.
