The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has provided an update on their investigation concerning the tragic death of Mikias Tekeste on July 15, 2023.
Mr. Tekeste had been arrested earlier that fateful day upon the discovery that he had been recalled to prison. Simultaneously, he was arrested under suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. He was subsequently transported to custody in Croydon, in a police vehicle.
