Motorcyclist Airlift from Alton Crash Scene with life changing Injuries

A motorcyclist has been flown to Hospitial following a serious collision in Alton this morning. Butts Road in Alton remains closed at the junction of Mount Pleasant Road whilst Police carry out their investigation into the cause of the collision. The man who was riding a 125cc motorcycles is said to have life changing injuries after he collided with a car near Hot Poles Pub. The man was airlifted using the Thames Valley air ambulance after it is understood that the Kent and Surrey Helicopter was committed on an other emergency. Bus operator Stagecoach have advised that due to the closure the 08:30 38 service is running 20 minutes late. A spokesman also advised they are unable to serve stops between Butts Road to the sports centre due to road closue, the service will resume service from Chawton. Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing remain at the scene and urge any drivers or witnesses to contact them on 101.
