A man in his 20s has been injured in a shooting in Woolwich, but no arrests have been made, police confirmed.

Officers were called to Kingsman Street at 11:53pm on Wednesday, September 4, following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found shell casings and a damaged vehicle but no immediate sign of the victim or suspects.

No arrests have been made yet, and detectives are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry. Police are urging anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.

Police were called at 23:53hrs on Wednesday, 4 September, to reports of shots fired at Kingsman Street, SE18. Officers attended and a crime scene was established when shell casings and damage to a vehicle were found. A search of the area was conducted with no sign of either a victim or suspects.

“At 23:56hrs, police were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of an injured man at a commercial premises in Church Street, SE18. The man, aged in his 20s, had suffered gunshot injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by the LAS. His injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening and he is being supported by specialist detectives.”
