Police Launch Probe after Car Smashes through Garden Wall in Newport
Police have launched a probe after a green Vauxhall Astra has crashed through a garden wall and come to rest in the front garden of a property in Newport this evening Neighbours said that the driver left the vehicle parked moment earlier on Halberry Lane at shortly before 6pm on Friday evening. The incident happened yards from Summerfields Primary School. Police remain at the scene whilst recovery contractors recover the vehicle using a winch to remove the vehicle on to a flatbed truck. No one is understood to have been hurt. Police have said that both parties are going to leave the matter with the owners insurance company. The road remains open.
