Police Seek Witnesses After Serious Collision in Doncaster Involving Young Pedestrian

Police in Doncaster are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving an 11-year-old boy and a van in the Woodlands area on Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 2.47pm near the junction of Great North Road and Tenter Balk Lane.
Detective Sergeant Sarah Thompson of the South Yorkshire Police Traffic Division is urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information regarding the events leading up to it to come forward. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial to our investigation,” DS Thompson stated.

Authorities are particularly interested in acquiring any available CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell camera footage that may have captured the incident or the surrounding area at the time.
