Authorities are urgently appealing to the public for assistance in locating 19-year-old Luke Rowan, who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder investigation in Little Steeping that occurred on May 25th.
The incident involved a male victim being shot in the leg. While initially not considered serious, the injuries have since been deemed life changing. Rowan, who is believed to have connections to coastal areas, has been the subject of proactive patrols by officers since the incident.
The public is advised not to approach Rowan if spotted but to immediately call 999 and report the sighting with reference to incident number 27 of May 25th, 2024. Although he is not believed to pose an imminent risk to the public, caution is urged due to the serious nature of the allegations.
Officials believe someone holds information regarding Rowan’s whereabouts and remind the public that aiding a suspected offender to evade arrest is a criminal offence. For those hesitant to come forward, anonymous tips can be shared through Crimestoppers.
To date, one individual has been charged in relation to this case, while four others have been arrested and released on police bail pending further investigation.
