The fire, which was later traced to an electrical fault in a tumble dryer, caused flames to soar up to 10 feet high with temperatures reaching a scorching 330°C. The intensity of the blaze resulted in the complete loss of the building, prompting an immediate response from local firefighters who had to source water from the nearby Solent to control the flames.
