A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a daylight assault in Dagenham, prompting a police investigation and a public appeal for information.

Police were called at 09:02am on Tuesday, 11 March, to Longbridge Road, following reports of an assault. Officers responded swiftly alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, who treated the teenage victim at the scene before transporting him to hospital.
