Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has revealed the introduction of temporary reading limits on the platform in response to concerns over data scraping and system manipulation. Musk took to Twitter to announce the new measures, which will limit the number of posts users can read per day.

According to Musk, verified accounts will have a daily limit of 6,000 posts, while unverified accounts will be restricted to 600 posts. New unverified accounts will only be able to view 300 posts per day. The implementation of these limits aims to address the “extreme levels” of data scraping and manipulation that have been observed on the platform.
