At around 6.48pm on Wednesday 17 January 2024, a collision involving a black VW golf and a pedestrian took place in Marine Parade, near to the entrance to Barton’s Point Coastal Park.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries and urge anyone who saw the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage which might assist, to contact them.
