Worthing’s Serial Offender Slapped with Tough New Criminal Behaviour Order
Fardin Farji, 28, has finally been hit with a powerful crackdown after years of causing chaos in Worthing. The unemployed local has a long list of offences, including antisocial behaviour, drug issues, thefts, and shoplifting.
Harsh Restrictions to Keep Farji in Check for Two Years
On Wednesday 4 August, Worthing Magistrates’ Court granted a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) designed to stop Farji in his tracks. The 24-month ban clamps down hard, forbidding him from:
- Staying in any shop or commercial building if staff ask him to leave
- Entering shops without means to pay
- Carrying more than two mobile phones
- Possessing a bicycle without proof of ownership
- Visiting Worthing town centre, except to access the police station or St Clare’s Day Centre via specific routes
- Going into specified areas of Broadwater unless passing through by vehicle
- Setting foot in Waitrose on High Street
- Entering any Co-Op stores anywhere in England
Fail to Comply and Face Jail Time
Police have warned that breaking these new rules will lead to further offences and possible imprisonment.
PC Jack Buchanan of the Adur and Worthing Operation Override team said: “We are delighted to have obtained this Criminal Behaviour Order for Fardin Farji. His behaviour and offending has been causing loss to the people and businesses of Worthing for a considerable period of time.”
He added: “This order will help Sussex Police tackle his offending, protect residents and businesses, and hopefully encourage him to turn his life around and get the help he needs.”
