Charges for a suspected bird thief from Snodland

A man from Snodland has been charged following his arrest earlier this year by officers from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force. Leonard Devall, 35, of Kent Road Snodland was charged by postal requisition on 6 September 2018 with four burglaries at separate aviaries at properties in Pembury, Aylesford, Chatham and Deal. He was also charged with four offences of handling stolen property and possession of wild birds. Mr Devall will appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 5 October.
