A Brighton man has been sentenced for a disturbing act of animal cruelty. Luke Cobb, 38, of Avondale Road in Eastbourne, was captured on camera hitting a dog’s head against a wall outside a Brighton address on 13 November 2023. The footage led to his arrest later that day.

Cobb, who owned a dog walking business, had been entrusted with the care of the pet, named Stan. Following the incident, Cobb admitted to the act and pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges on 21 March 2024.
