Island Man warned to expect Prison after Grooming Sting

An Island man Richard Moore from Newport has pleaded guilty to a number of attempted child sex offences. Moore appeared before Southampton Crown Court yesterday (Monday) where he pleaded guilty to attempting to travel to meet a child under the age of 16 and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. The arrest and conviction of the 43-year-old comes as a result of a sting operation by ‘SKID’ – a group set up to catch and bring to justice would-be offenders.
