A 65-year-old man has been locked up after a terrifying showdown with a paramedic, whom he aimed an imitation gun at, after calling 999 for help himself.

Man Calls 999, Turns on Paramedic With Fake Gun

Clive Monamy, from Hide Gardens, Rustington, rang 999 on May 5, 2024, claiming mental health issues and asking for an ambulance.

But when a South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedic arrived, Monamy greeted them with verbal abuse and refused treatment.

Paramedic Fears For Life As Gun Is Pulled

As the medic was leaving, Monamy suddenly declared, “I have something for you,” then pulled out a black handgun from under a pillow and pointed it right at the paramedic’s face.
