Man Charged after Moving Emergency Ambulance in Newbury

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police a man has been charged in connection with an incident in which an ambulance was moved. Alan John Dale, aged 67, of Tangley Farm, Hampshire, has been charged with one count of taking a motor vehicle without consent, one count of obstructing and hindering an emergency worker and one count of use of a motor vehicle with no insurance. The charges are in connection with an incident that happened at around 2pm on 29 December 2016 at Malt Court, Pelican Lane, Newbury in which a member of the public moved an ambulance. Dale will appear at Reading Magistrates Court on 23 March 2017.
